Default Chain Wax

At the moment im using Wurth High Performance chain oil on the chain however it doesnt seem to stop it from getting rusty so to complement it i was thinking of buying some Chain Wax to protect it from the elements. I love the fact that the Wurth HP Chain Oil doesnt flick up at all onto the wheel.

Which is the best wax to buy? Is wax the way forward to prevent rust?

I was experimenting today as my chain was looking a bit uncared for.

I used some old engine oil and a brush and worked it into the chain, then sprayed it with wax to seal it.

Not sure if it worked but the chain is shiny on the rollers and the swingarm and wheel is still clean.

Im not sure if there is a better wax than others, but Wurth is good, and expensive unless you get it for free :P

I clean mine with WD40 and then use Castrol chain wax. I also have a scottoiler but the bike sits for a whole week, outside, without use sometimes.

I had the Wuth chain wax, and my chain used to go rusty at a hint of rain.

I run a loobman now. Chain is nicely lubed ...

so is back wheel and garage floor

Wax is all very well, but don't you have to clean your chain regularly, otherwise the wax gathers dirt and grit, and starts grinding into your chain and sprocks?

I have used Holts 'motorcycle' chain lube from halfords wich was a waste of money, looks like snot and flies everywhere with even the most sparing application despite 'non fling' formula.
I used a can of castrol chain wax recomended by my dealer wich was fine
and now im using a can of putoline wax cos thats what they sell at my nearest shop and so far its been the best stuff.
