Thinking about a sports rack for the bike as i need to carry a laptop on a regular basis. Renntec seem to make one but looking at the photo on their site i'm not sure if it would be large enough.
Anyone use a tankbag carrying laptop (plus other stuff).Any recomendations ? I have used a baglux system before and thought it was great but remember it being quite pricey so was looking for cheaper alternatives. |

The renntec rack's pretty small... Big enough to carry a laptop, but it'd hang off all the edges. The real advantage is when it comes to bungee points.

I've got a Renntec and used it for carrying allsorts up to large sports holdall size. Yes it does hang over but as long as what you're carrying is fastened securely to it there's no problem. It does say not to carry more than about 3 kilos but that's bolox as I've had the best part of 10-15 kilos on minewhilst touring Belgium

Noooooooo dont do it
![]() Sports racks are a crime against nature and like Northwind said theyre not even that big. Ive carried clothes, laptop and other bits and pieces in my tankbag. Failing that,a backpack? Only consider one as a last resort. Or use the car :P

I have a Rentec sports rack and too be honest I hardly use it - I find it a lot more convenient to just strap stuff direct to the back seat.
Sports rack is useful if you have a passenger. |
