K & N Air Filter
Hi,
Does anyone know if it is okay to put a K & N filter on to replace the Suzuki one without rejetting it? I also have a Quill T3 Powerflow exhaust. I am concerned that it might end up running a little lean. Thanks Marc |

if you are putting a K&N in along with an aftermarket can, it is best to re-jet... although not everyone does....

If you don't think it'll make you lean, why are you fitting it?
 A performance air filter that doesn't pass more air isn't up to much...You might be able to get away with it, I did for a while, but it definately made the bike sluggish and probably less powerful. In the long run, it could cause you damage. If you don't want to rejet, best stick to stock. And if you want power, best not muck about with the K&N since hte BMC Race RS is far more effective. (and definately needs rejetted)[/i]

I bought a K&N filter off eBay. But it came without the gasket.
The chap can't find it anywhere so i guess i have to buy one. Does anyone know if you can buy them seperatly ? If yes where ? Or could I use anything else as a sealant ? Cheers Patrick |
