Default Pillion & Front end issues

Is it normal for the front end to go very light and wobbly (slow speed stuff) when carrying pillions?

No, you obviously need a new shock .

Well only under power when the SV will wheelie as if by telepathic order. So what's up?

steering would normally be heavier, so that doesn't sound right. Have you played with your preload?

Ive got a new ZX636 shock on the rear and progressives on the front. Its not so much light as is not heavy but light as very vague. By myself i can poodle along without much of an issue, but with a pillion it likes to wobble around a bit. Not a problem just an issue. Probably just me getting used to feal of having a pillion sometimes.

Yes i noticed that, much easier with a pillion on the back. And no its just a work thing not a personal one.

With a pillion on board the whole bike has of course gained an extra 65 kilos or so, so expect it to handle and feel considerably different.

Just a case of getting used to it.

Stopping in a straight line or filtering through traffic always made the front end wag from side to side when I started taking pillions. Didnt take me long to realise it wasnt me or the bike,it was the bugger on the back

Nervous pillions can have an amazing effect on the handling. I find that the best way to combat this is to pull a massive wheelie at 70 and scare them stiff. There, much better

Meh, I don't carry fat pillion, I like going round corners. On the plus side, they have to be fairly fat to be heavier than me.
