anti corrosion spray? - SV650.org

ive had my new k5 about a week now,and im loving it but i want something to spray on her to help keep corrosion at bay.Any ideas?

ACF50, it's the daddy. Scottoiler FS365's good too, and much easier to find, but ACF50 lasts better in the wet it seems.

Dont judge me before I've finished as this is a REALLY good spray for protecting your bike. You need to get hold of a can of silicone lubricant, any brand is fine as it's not used as a lubricant as it were, and basically spray it on once the bike's been cleaned and dried.

It seems to have an effect similar to waxing as it repels water. Plus you can get into all the little gaps like on the engine etc. It's not a replacement for waxing panels, so you've still got to put the elbow grease in there, but can't really be beat on your engine, exaust, wheels, forks et.

BE WARNED THOUGH!!! Make sure you're extra careful when spraying it near your brake disks, lubricant isn't ideal when friction is what you are after in braking!!

It's a fairly cheap way to keep that rust at bay, especially if you know anyone who works in a manufacturing profession where this kinda stuff is used frequently....
