SV650s seat compatibility - SV650.org

hi, I'm a proud new owner of a SV650s K3 and this is my first post on these forums. Just wondering if anyone knows if if the seat off a naked SV650 K3 will fit the S version of the same year?

also, according to my suzuki dealer the K3 and K4 SV650s seats are not compatible with each other, is this correct as the bikes look the same?

k3 & k4 u cannot swap because the rear sub frames are different as for the k3 naked to faired i don't know sorry

According to www.oneidasuzuki.com the seats are different bewteen K3 and K4/5. eg these are the part numbers for the gel seat but it's the same for the other types too. However a seat for a naked would fit an S model of the same year.

2003 SV650/S SV1000S # 99950-62182

2004-05 SV650/S SV1000S # 990A0-61000

DOES NOT FIT NAKED SV1000

The K3 650 'S' and 'N' and the 1000 'S' have the same seat fitment, the K3 1000 'N' has the same seat fitment as all the subsequent K4 and K5 models, 650 and 1000.

just wondering how different is the seat from a SV650S K3 to a K4? can a K4 seat be made to fit a K3 using a bracket of some kind?
