Single Disk, Speedo Cable on front wheel (not electic pickup like 650) with clocks to match.

Also has a pillion strap over the rear seat rather than a grab rail- so the central bit of plastic doesn't have the holes, and so doesn't need shutters if you fit a solo seat. Though your pillions will hate you.

Yes the SV400 is identicle to sv650 chassis wise - I have owned one here in Japan where 400cc is easier and cheaper to license and own. The Japan domestic model has not yet had the upgrade to K3 frame/body work so this Suzuki is still producing all these parts. Mikesan

I've seen someone offering fillets to cover those holes for about £25, a bit steep doncha think? Didn't include colourmatching to the rear bit or sides, just plain black.

Finding a 400 rear plate would look better anyway, imho.

Especially as the rear pegs have been removed for the exhaust system

You mean like this?

Banditmania Saddleshutters. Not cheap, you're right, but they do tidy up the rear end a lot and they're more practical than a 400 tailpiece since you can remove them quickly to refit the rail (or sports rack, if you're me)

I reckon they'd be pretty easy to make, might see what i can do with a bit of resin and filler some time...

i have seen this bike and regulkarly been entised by it, but i waited for the 650 to come upo and paid more but am very happy that i did. the pillion pegs are gone although the exhausts are very nice. the bike is 18000 miles though and 1899 is alot for a 400 when 650s go for similar amounts...

also its lower than 650s and the already not great brakes on the 650 (imo) wont get any better if there is only one caliper and disk. also parts are available from japan but not easily available possibly...also manmy suzuki dealers may not touch you as they would argue it is not an official bike.

up to you though, ut i would say dont...wait for a 650 and you wont regret it...

Andy
