Default Second fastest zx9 on zx-9r.net

*That went to bruntingthorpe with ride mag*

Is owned by me & tris
Ride magazine invited us lot from zx-9r.net to come to bruntingthorpe today for abit of a play and to do a magazine article, i had to work so Tris took the 9.
Ben the features editor took each one of the 9's for a blat in turn, ours was second fastest at a PROVEN 171.1mph , not bad for a standard (except for full akrapovich race sytem-no dynojet etc and standard filter) 9 year old bike
Beaten by a 04 F zx9 which was only 0.03mph faster .
Tris is grinning from ear to ear now and im pretty pleased to, article will be on next months Ride mag.

Nice, gotta be a good thing to use when you come to sell it, a fast bike is a well running well maintained bike.

The C and E models are far nicer bikes to own and ride. The B was always a lot heavier and slower to steer than anything else in its class at the time. Brilliant mile munchers though.

Before I had my Gixer Thou I owned a W plate red ZX9R C2, the same as Tris's with an Ohlins and Quill can etc. It was a really nice clean bike and it would show 185 on the clock (probably about 165ish true speed.), but I just coudn't get on with it on long distances so I bought the Gixer. My housemate has owned a blue ZX9R E1 for the last 3 years and she loves it to bits.

What I like about them is they are so effortlessly quick.Top gear roll on gives warp speed before you know it.
