Default dropped lid

b*llox

i managed to drop my lid this morning, or more accurately i put in on a stool in a coffee shop and it fell onto a hard tiled floor. the drop was about 3 feet, may be a little higher and it fell on to the top of the lid.

the inner lining/layer has gone a bit squishy now - i dont think it was like that before. i fear the worst, is the lid a write off?

it's a roof daytona if that makes any difference.

It should be okay, Bike did a test on dropping lids a while back and found that a metre drop did no internal harm whatsoever. However the only way to really tell is to have it X-rayed, and I think one or more of the Soho contingent know who does this, so might be worth considering.

No. It should work as advertised.

However, if you have lost confidence then you will have to change it.

Your choice.

Default A SALES MAN WOULD SAY

A sales man would say yes but to be honest it should be ok, after all if it could be damaged in a 3 foot fall on to the floor what good would it be to you in an 80 mph off?

I make it clear to all my cbt people that a lid would be ok in such a fall, i see many people putting there lids on their bike seats and then fall on to hard concrete with no problems or damage to the lid, its amazing how many cbt instructors dont inform people of very basic things

If it was an Arai then phoenix distribution in stoke on trent will x-ray the helmet and replace any damaged straps and visors free, a friend of mine when though the rear window of a fiesta he got a new lid on the insurance then took his old lid to phoenix to be checked over and it was OK.
