You realise the bars will be worth more than the bike?

No such thing as best... They do loads of differnt shapes and types, it's purely down to personal preference which one he gets. Obviously, the further he gets from stock, the more likely he is to need new cables though. For a bandit I reckon Renthal could have a good idea of what's needed with each one though. oldskoolsuzuki could be a good source of info as well.

The Ultra Lows should fit without any extra cabling being required, but they'll be about the same height as standard. If you go for the slightly higher Lows (which I have on my SV) then you just might get away with it.

Northy is right about not being a question of whichis best.

First question (apart from just wanting a change of bars) is Riding/rider position wise/feel(what ever that is ) , what is he looking for or hoping to change.

FWIW I think the two that will be a straight swap will be either the 'Ultra Low' or the 'low'.

I've using the Ultral low but I've spent ages trying different clamps and handlebar(well cos I could and a bit Fussy sometimes) to get the position/feel I wanted

If you can wait a little while I'll be ordering a new set of 'Ultra Lows' for myself and he could try the Low and Ultral lows bolted on the bike.

He will get a better idea of the change from original with them mounted on the bike though you really need to ride with them to actually make better judgement on the overall change. Pay for the postage and I'll send both to you. He can ride with them (just don't drill any holes in them as they would be for sale enventually). Just let me know.

Getting new ones because the ones I've got are the moment are cut(most peeps cut them down anyways) but I've just done some more changes to the bike and could do with an extra half an inch or so.

Another thing is the actual positioning of which ever bar you get. You'll be surprised how rotating it a couple of mm changes the whole ride.

Cheers
Ben
