I want to get hold of some rubber matting the same thickness (+- 3 or 4 mm) as the little rubber mudflap that is found on the K5 in front of the leading cylinder. I want to cut a much bigger piece (say 200 wide by 450 high) to replace the existing flap. I'll attach it in the normal way at the top (existing metal lugs) and then attach it to the plastic poppers at the bottom leading edge of the fairing lowers. I hope to keep water and muck off the spark plug AND the motor: something that's annoying me on my B road to work at the moment, despite having a fenda extenda. Anyone know where I could buy some, or blag an offcut? By the way I have thought of the cooling air: I'm guessing enough will flow around the sides to cool the oil cooler and radiator, but will be keeping an eye on the temp gauge.

If you have fitted a fender extenda, then you shouldn't still be having problems... Gat it back to the dealer

No, it doesn't misfire or anything: it's just that I hate all the cack on the motor (hard to clean with the fairing lowers on).
