Erm, I know F**k all about Tennis, apart from that I find it extremley boring,
but all I hear is Tim Henman this and Tim Henman that. He's Rubbish, surely theres more English talent out there than this overpaid twit. And why is Greg Rudeseski considered English, isn't he Canadian or something. *Counts down the seconds before a snotty reply from an avid Tennis/Henman fan* http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/4612088.stm |

I think you're being unfair, I'm not a Henman fan BTW, I think he's had a lot of expectation piled upon him by being one of the better Brit players, expectation that ultimately it seems he won't live up to.
Doesn't make him any poorer a player though, just not the best right now, not his fault. As for Rusedski it does seem a bit odd that he decided to represent us rather than Canada, but then anything he does win he does it for us, so I'm not complaining.

theres weird rules in sport that mean as long as you have a grandparent (i think) of the nationality you wish to represent you can!
plus you can defect too, although i don't think he did that! |

I sort of like Henman. In the way he reliabley not that good. It was something solid in my life.
The English cricket team, used to be reliable in the same way. And then they went out and trounced the Ausies in the Ashes. And, it all got very strange for a bit, untill they got hockeyed out of it a couple of times. Then I was nice and relaxed again. I stopped looking around for other Portents of Evil. Things were in their right place. All the same, I would be really ****ed if I was Tongan or Samoan though. Rakes of the All Blacks are really Tongan/Samoan. Like God love the poor NewZealanders, they only have the best Rugby team in the world. And the second best sitting on the bench there. And maybe the third best loitering about the stadium somewhere. ![]() |
