Default Unleaded 55p a litre?

Just to prove it!!!
I thought it was the display not working till the tank topped out.
No such luck just as I was paying (and mrs TLmark was gonna go and get the car to fill that up) they put out cones to shut the place

wish I bought a lottery ticket now.

Default ESSO BAD!

Just for the record: Esso helped bankroll Bush back into power on the condition he didn't sign up for Kyoto. Fact.
I don't buy Esso.
That's my 10p's worth.

I would question why they're doing it so cheap. Many of the petrol pumps around my area, especially Shell petrol pumps, are struggling to get enough fuel at the moment because of the Buncefield fuel depot fire, although this is in east London where petrol is officially the cheapest in the country.

Seriously though, why would you sell petrol at 55.9p a litre when everyone else is doing it for at least 85.9p litre? Let's not forget with all the tax and everything else added on to the cost of a litre of fuel, petrol pumps make very little per litre as it is, so maybe they had to get rid of it?

Sorry, just being my usual pessimistic self fuelled by my dislike of ‘supermarket fuel’.

Now that is strange. Buncefield supplied Total and Texaco.

That's what I thought, but it's near impossible to get Shell Optimax at the moment and even diesel is hard to get hold of on certain days.
