Default Breakdown Recovery - All Vehicle (car & bike) Packages?

I'm at the stage where I'm renewing my breakdown recovery for my car. Now there are plenty of options out there for 'any car' breakdown recovery policies, but I can't find one that would cover 'any vehicle' so I could cover both car & bikes on the same policy.

Does anyone know of any policy that does this?

i dont thin NCI will provide a all vehicle policy, but doesnt the AA cover the driver not the vehicle..

However i think you get a price from NCI for seperate policies it will be cheaper than the AA together...

Alternately what cver can ur insurance co. provide as an extra?

The AA does cover the driver not the vehicle, and they will pick up your bike for you no trouble. If you've got a car then go with them and your covered!

AA do this. They're cheap, but they're slow to respond, and often don't send bike specialists. See them as purely a recovery service and you won't be disappointed.

NCI do a combined cover as they cover the individual not the vehicle and I'm currently with them for both car and bike.

I've called them once for the bike and they got to me within 45 minutes. They do have their own vans properly kitted out for bikes but in my case they got a local recovery guy and even that was properly kitted out for bikes too.

Can't rate them enough.

For the car in the past I've been covered with AA, RAC and Green Flag and in my opinion, NCI are much better.

sadly i have had to call them out several times but again get very good rating.. only ever once leaving me waiting 2 hours.. all the rest were within the 45 mins.. and once they sent a flat bed truck... but the bike was trashed so it made no difference..

pleased to hear we helped save you sum notes...

I am with the AA because they cover all vehicles, including bikes.

I'm with the AA. Had the bad experiance and the good. My only advice is to check the type of cover you've got cause if you've only got roadside and your on a bike its not going to be good.

I have relay, this means if they need to recover your bike they will take it and you to any UK destination. Which is quite useful as I was picked up near Southampton and taken back to Swindon. You try getting your local garage to travel 70 odd miles to pick you up on a Saturday.

Just a thought...

I have NCI for the Bike but I don't have a car. I used to be with the RAC and they covered the member with any vehicle but I got tired of them turning up and saying 'oh it's a bike' and haveing no means to transport the bike anywhere. I have called NCI 3 times in total and everytime the bike need to be lifted and every time they had a vehicle able to do it.
