I think is may be in a compartment behind the subframe on the left hand side. I have a k3, but the owners manual I have for a k4 (kindly sent to me by Mr Toad) shows it to be in this location. My k3 doesn't seem to have one of these 'secret' compartments though !

I could be talking complete rubbish of course .......

That's where it is on the K6, so it sounds like a good guess for K5.

That is where it is, small black box on the left. I believe they had it designed by one of the folks who pack smoked oysters or kippers for a living. Be careful when re-packing, will only go in just so. Pretty decent tool kit, IMOHO. Cover and latch seem somewhat cheesey, but it has not come out on my K5.

Be a bit careful with it

Water can quite easily get in to that box, and suddenly you'll find it full of rusty tools

The cover is very fiddly to put back on - I rode around for a day with it half hanging off

I'd recommend giving the tools a spray with WD40 or similar before storing them in the little bag, and preferably storing it under the pillion seat - it's all too easy to nick from where it's curently stored (you don't want to loose the spanner for adjusting the rear suspension), and a new set is around the £100 mark from Suzuki

Is there a tool kit on my 1999 Curvy, where should it be?

Under the pillion seat, attached with a rubber strap.
