Default chain lube/rear brake interface

b*gger, lubed the chain in too much of a hurry and now the rear brake is next to useless thanks to my uselessness .

any known cures, or will it sort itself out IYKWIM?

jsut slam on the brake

me n my m8s did a experiment on my m8s bike to c what stuff stoped ur brakes working the best stuf is WD 40 so if ya want to kill some 1 ... lol


chain lube will wear away in no time

Ive WD40'd my brakes most times I clean it. It soon wears off (either that or my brakes could be better )

It depends, a few heavy uses of the brake might heat the disc enough to rid you of a little lube, but not much.

If there's any significant amount of oil there then you'll have to remove the pads and clean them with brake cleaner, which is a high flash point solvent and will clean off oil and grease very effectively, but, the brake pad material is porous, so if the lube has penetrated the material you'll not get it off, and thus you'll need new pads and will therefore never do that again, .

Don't worry about it Will all back brakes are very over rated in my opinion!


















BTW anyone with a bit of sense would know that was not only a joke but total nonsense also for the price of one!
