Default I am scared

i become full power in june (yay no more 33bhp) and i did an insurance quote for a rang of bikes,

Z100 was £1049 tpft
but what scared me was the TL quote - £849 tpft which is very tempting (and i do have a death wish) and i know i can get all thease quotes cheaper!

Why dont you spend some time learning to ride the SV first?

Totally pointless wasting time looking at what bike you can afford to insure in a year! Anything can happen from now to then so be realistic and enjoy what you have now

Have a chat with Cloggsy
I am thinking about new bikes too, while at the same time blatently am not a great driver on the SV. (A mate of mine killed ie KILLED me on the twisties on a... ahem, GS1150.
YEsh. There is a lot to be said for getting good, but at the same time new bikes are shiney ... Mmm... shiney.

(In fairness, the same guy destroyed two guys on Ducatis. They looked cool on the Ducs, but looked less cool with a lad on a huge beemer weeing all over them.)

Post up some links to picys of the models you like...

I'm currently looking around for what I'll get as my second bike, in the summer. My quotes are about that for fully comp on the TLR or a Falco etc.
I think I'm going to get something cheap and comfortable like an old bmw to cover lots of miles to save the SV.

Meh, the engine is doing fantastically, it's just everything else needs a good clean and a few things need repainting.
