Default MV's 1000 SBK - a bike for 41 grand!

It seems the lads in the MV Agusta marketing department know just how much a glitzy name on a polished frame can pull down, this years coming special attraction will set you back around £41000. Seems like a whole truck load of cash for a "mere" motorbike. Sure it doesn't even pack a set of headlights. But it makes up for the absence of illumination by hording 185 ponies into a machine weighing only 159Kgs. Sounds like a recipe for some serious ****e off a slippery carbon shovel.

Mmm. You know, I could just about afford that, if I sell everything else I own and take out a huge loan. Couldn't afford to put petrol in it, but I could sit on it and make bike noises for a few months, till it got repossesed...

Now that's TIDY. Awfully glad that my rear is well padded for when I take delivery of that saddle. Nice paint job too.

I think most MV Agusta owners only look and occassionally sit on their bike so you would be in good company

Amazing, but too much for a bike.

Throw it up the road and its virtually worthless.

Very good. I like that they've done seperate road and track versions. The Gruppo 23 actually refers to how many of the track version were made (23! Makes the Tamburini look common...) I think Lee's definition is probably just as true though.

As GC-SV says, can you imagine how bad you'd feel if you dropped that? A simple drop as you move it out the garage could result in several thousand pounds worth of damage. When you went out for a ride on it you'd be terrified of leaving it out of sight when you go for a leak/lunch. I think to enjoy it you'd have to be rich enough that it wouldn't be a big deal if it got damaged/nicked.

I have seen a "normal" MV F4 1000 on the road before, looked like the bloke was commuting on it, of all things and fair play to him, he was actually reasonably swift.

OOoh that's nice. Although MV's are worse than Aprilia's for reliability. Still when i won the lotto I'm gerring one (just not that one - I fancy the F4 Senna or Tamburini).
