What are the best heated grips to fit?

Most people have gone for Oxford grips. I can recommend them.

Make sure they aren't pre 2005 as they dont work so well on alloy bars.

Had Oxford ones here too, essential when its cold!

I fitted the Oxford ones back in December, bought them off Ebay for about £22. I can't rate them high enough, it makes such a difference to the daily commute in this cold weather.

depends whether or noy you get the wrap around ones or the fixed ones, would recommend the fixed ones as i got wrap arounds and they have not temp control, parms burn finger tips freeze

Erm, you could just turn them off?

I believe they are glued on and replace the standard grips so no, you can't take them off.
