Default Bike-mounted video recording system - anyone know of one?

Has anyone heard about a video recording system, which records the last 20 or so seconds of video and then re-records over the top of it? I saw something like that for a car on TV not long ago, but was wondering if anyone knows one adapted for a bike? Would prove very helpfull in court or durring a battle with the insurance company

Just a thought that occured to me today after I was cut up by a monkey in a cage...

Really? I thought the police could prosecute based on video? But then I guess they are allowed to as they have all sorts of other speed measuring equipment.

I reckon we will see systems as standard on new vehicles like this in the not too distant future. It'd have to be a standardised, tamper proof sealed unit, ideally recording RPM, gear, speed, etc. too.

I think this'd be a real boon for insurance. Reduced rate for having one fitted (as it'd cut down costs in the event of a claim, even if you lost, due to the speeding up of the process). Faster payouts means less riding on a crashed bike for 6 months while the muppets pull their fingers out.

The best way to go is is a "bullet camera" and something like an Archos portable DVR unit which will be the most portable system. I use the bullet cam connected to my digital camcorder. Any camcorder with "analogue AV input" will work.
