'04 SV650S, K3, silver. Scotland. £2,500 ono

Hey folks,

gutted but I need to sell the bike as soon as posible so looking for interest here first.

She is a silver K3 half-faired S model, registered in 2004 with 13k miles on the clock. She has just had a new front wheel bearing fitted. Service wise I have the 600k and 4000k stamps but did my own servicing otherwise, a new air-filter and oil was put in at 12k with regular oil changes in between. She has also had regular brake maintanence by yours truely including a new set of front piston seals.

Mods include a SS Oval Scorpion road-legal can, Hamicad tail-tidy and grills and a Suzuki single-seat cowl. Also fitted are R&G crash bungs, 1 used (read later). Original can and pillion seat will come with it. She comes on Conti Road Attacks front and rear which have done about 4k and have plenty of life left.

She is in decent nick but 2 Scottish winters have left some furred bolts and slightly pitted forks. Nothing Autosol and elbow grease doesn't sort easy enough - looks minted when properlly cleaned and polished. She starts beautifully and has never missed a beat.

Unfortunatley, she has been dropped twice. Once in a 5mph hairpin low-side at Knockhill (my one and only track-evening so not thrashed!) which caused scuffs to the paint on right hand side front cowl and a scratched can and bar-end. Second time was last month, again a very low speed spill on the right. I have not yet replaced the back brake lever or right front indicator, both of which snapped and there are still scuffs on the paint on the front cowl and the can. I'm in a hurry to sell so not planning on fixing these unless there is no interest, should not be more than £40.

She is well used but would make a smart bike for anyone who has time to replace the lever and indi and give her a good polish. Obviously I'll do my best to polish her up for anyone who wants to come see. Would make a great track bike for anyone with the cash!

Looking for £2,500 ono. Sounds reasonable for a relatively new bike?

I'm not surprised your bike needed a service after 4 million miles! Is that an SV record?

Good luck selling it, though.
