Default Thats GOTTA hurt!

A guy is throwing stones from his car at bikers. He falls out and hits a stationary car! They're travelling at a fair rate of knots... its not gruesome, he lives, but my god its gotta be painful.

Karma is a right female dog at times.

It's been on before. The guys in the car are "playing a game" that involves opening the car door to knock younger kids off their bikes as they drive past. http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=32578

It's really "funny" isn't it? Some stupid **** films his mate potentially seriously injuring some innocent kid on a bike......but then his mate gets even more seriously injured. Still, hey-ho, he hands it across to a web agency anyway, so everyone can have a good "laugh".

When it was posted before, it happened in the same week as three kids were jailed for filming a person being kicked to death. Here's the link: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...portaltop.html

......have a good laugh at this. It's called "happy-slapping".

I remember a time when people used to laugh at "queer-bashing". Thank God we don't now, and in the same vein, I hope there will come a time when we don't find these punk-films funny. The very act of searching them out on the web, and posting links to them, encourages self-centered attention seekers to ever more senseless acts of violence. Because they think someone will find it "funny".

For once El, get off your high horse.

If not for anyone elses sake, for yours.

Its not "funny" in the fact the guys were trying to knock kids off their push bikes. And in a sense its not "funny" that this guy got his face smashed in on the headlight of a parked vehicle - however, its natural human nature to laugh at someone elses mis fortune and pain. Dont beleive me - why the heck are there shows such as "you've been framed" or "watch out, beadles about" to name but a couple?

In response to your comment about queer bashing. Two points to raise:

First: Queer bashing is a completely different issue to the subject matter contained in the link i provided. The link, as you are aware, shows one group of kids trying to hurt others, and yet ends in one of the "attackers" being injured himself - some may call it poetic justice.

Second: Why, on the majority of the occasions when you want to raise a point with me, do you always refer back to the "gay" issue? So im a faggot, so what? Let it drop, or you run the risk looking like you yourself have some major "issue" with it - ever heard the old adage "those who shout most against being gay, are themselves generaly scared because of their own homosexual emotions"?

In response to your associating with the link to the current craze of "happy-slapping": If someone had posted a link to the footage of a person being a victim of happy-slapping, and the happy-slappers themselves became a victim in some way, would your response have been any different? Ill say it most definately would be.

GYKD.

We are talking seconds between the attempted bike push and the car slam. So if he had connected with the rider, then he would have been face first in to the car. I have no sympathy or any feelings at all for him. And tbh it's a shame the guy survived to tell the tale.
I agree filming stupid acts of violence is for the retarded and you're dead right. However showing this type of video might put other off from trying the same thing like the video on TV where the kid get knocked over while being recorded on a mobile phone.

GYKD.
I don't think it's natural, and I do think it's unacceptable. Where exactly does such a philosophy end?

"Beadle's About" and "You've been framed" do not set out to show people being deliberately injured - this clip did. It was based upon people trying to injure others by slamming them with car doors. Whether the perpetrator got his come-uppance or not is irrelevant.

My remarks about "queer bashing" were to try to contextualise this: being gay was a cause for considerable physical persecution for many years and I find that quite abhorrent. I suppose I thought that you might show a little understanding that filming people setting out to deliberately injure others is not acceptable, but I was obviously quite wrong. My sincerest apologies for upsetting you, and please, do feel free to carry on searching out this stuff and posting it on this site. We'll all benefit from it.

(Presumably, if it's "natural human nature to laugh at someone elses mis fortune and pain", it'll be OK to laugh at clips of gays/cripples/Jews/OAPs/bald people being beaten up? I don't think so.)
