Have you tried jacking the bike up from under the engine so it extends the forks more, does it say anything in the instructions about cutting you spacers down?

When I did my springs with the bike jacked up the top of the spring was just below the stanchion and I had a 1in spacer, I just put the cap ontop of the spacer and pushed down but be careful not to cross thread the cap!!!!

no adjustable caps, and there is about 6cm maybe more of the spacer sticking out of the forks.
i was thinking the preload would be too much...but i know nothing... anyone think there should have been a spacer with the kit? and it wasnt included? Andy p.s. my bike now wont start after faffing about with the back putting a zxr shock on, the main fuse blew, so i put the other one in, and it still wont start, so i try to ake it out and blow that one... when i say wont start, nothing comes on at all....any thoughts here ![]() thanks! |

Some spring kits come with spacers some require you to use the origonals cut down! Did you disturb any wiring when you installed the shock it might be shorting out some where!!!!

6cm(60mm) is definitly to much. No need to even think about spacers at this point.
A few maybe silly questions for you ![]() ![]() ![]() You sure you have the right kit? How have you raised the front? Cheers Ben |

you will have been given replacement spacers! or you will have to cut down the origonal ones! the origonal spacers and aftermarket springs do not go together!!!!!!!
spacers will have to be round 25mm long! then put spring in then put top cap on! does help if you hang bike from the garage roof or something else.....dont have the bikes weight on the froks!! hope this helps! |
