I have just bought a crashed K4 S. On the right side of the bike where the large water hose comes from the radiator to the motor, the housing it connects to on the motor is cracked. Is this the water pump?
I have removed the three bolts securing it and the drain plug. The housing will move away from the motor but not come off it. Is there a trick to getting it off? Anybody know what this part would cost to replace? Sorry, I am in Zimbabwe, no dealers here. On another topic, on either side of the fairing inner there are 2 triangular holes, roughly where the clipons would go to on full lock. What should fill these holes. My thanks in advance |

I think you will have to remove the main casing on that side. See this entry on the forum http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=36268

There should be plastic covers over those holes. I think the holes are there for adjusting the lights.

Hello all the way to Zimbabwe.
![]() Yes it is the water pump cover, but from what i know you have to open the negine casing to fully remove the pump. There was a thread about this somewhere recently. see here ... http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=36268

Has anyone got a description of the sequence to remove the side cover? Where do I drain the coolant. I presume oil must be drained too?
Thx all |
