Default Metzler Z6's

Well just had to schell out all my pennies for new front and rear Z6's today, hope they are as good as the write up's because they cost enough.

All ready for the weather to change, so hurry up and arrive

I also noticed they took hardly any time to scrub in aswell. When I had BT45s on my other bike, I had to be quite cautios for the first 50 or so miles. With the Z6 on the SV, after only a couple (literally) of miles they were good to go.

Binned the standard Dunlops (5k commuting squared the rear right off ) and bought a set of Z6's.

Got the original Dunlop 220 on the SV and they are no good.

They don't get warm...they offer no feel...sigh...

I love mine!! Got close to 14,000 miles on my front, 1st rear got to 89xx miles before 2 nails put a fork in it and I'm onto my 2nd rear and it's looking good at 5k right now.

Hi Nexus242,
I was wondering if I'm reading your post correctly. Do you still have that Z6 on the front with over 14,000 miles? So you would recommend the Metzeler RoadTec Z6 for the hot Florida summer roads?
Cheers!

I had those and they were, quite frankly, sh1te! Swapped them for a pair of Z6s and it made a world of difference. They have good longevity too so Im told but Ive only done about 3000 miles so far on them. They still look like new though.

I'm now on my 2nd set of Z6's, and I think there great, might try something else next time, but if they turn out to be kack then Z6's again...

call me a poser but the only fault i can find from people with the z6's is that they look kack.

would it really kill them to have put a more aestetically pleasing tread pattern on?
