Default TPS mod caution

I performed the tps mod on Monday. It took many adjustment to get it set so the line moves at 1450 rpm. I put around 150 miles on the bike since that time and I wanted to see if the tps was still adjusted to the same point. Much to my suprise the line was no moving just off idle at around 1250. I checked this a few times and every time it was at 1250 not 1450. I will readjust this again to the1450 spec. in the next day or two and see if it stays there or drops again. Has anyone else noticed this???

It is a very fine adjustment, you need to be very accurate when making it.

In my experience the plastic rose joints on the throttle linkages take an amount of miles to settle in, as they material is relatively soft the initial rate of wear is higher - although you need to keep it in perspective, as the adjustment is so fine, a very small wear amount makes a rather bigger difference - this is why so many peple have assumed the TPS is set wrong from the factory, it isn't but the initial change in adjustment can be apparent quite early.
