Default when was the last time.....???

Somebody posted a few months back that they hadn't checked their oil level for ages and the engine seized up on them...... their post made me go out and check my oil level, it was just below minimum......

so now i write to hopefully make somebody go out and check their chain !!! I've been meaning to check mine for ages but the brakes needed cleaning..... it snowed.... whatever..... finally got round to checking the chain last night and bladdy hell....... the slack should be 20 - 30mm..... mine was an embarrassing 80mm !!! Whoops....... when was the last time you checked yours ??????

oil got checked a week and a half ago, when I last rode the bike. Chain was adjusted and cleaned at the same time.

Oil checked last week and I cleaned, lubed and adjusted the chain for the 1st. time.

Must say, 80mm. seems excessive, how did it manage to stay on and how did you manage not to notice.
Even a passing glimpse would spot that.

Sadly enough, I took back wheel off at the weekend, totally cleaned chain with paraffin, and inside swingarm.

Cleaned back sprocket and greased bearings, axle, spacers, adjusters, and copper greased threads on nuts.

Cleaned wheel, reassemled and adjusted chain before tightening back axle nut..
Nipped up adjusters to stop them coming loose.
