Default Latest issue of RiDE

Just read the latest issue of RiDE and I liked it. Just like the old days...even had a little piece on the SV650. Tests on 2nd hand machines and pit falls and troubles.

Even had a full article on 749's but I skipped that.

New editor, see.

The only bike mags I ever buy are RiDE and UBG.
Most of the glossy bike mags have so many adverts in them that I feel that they could make so much money from advertising that you ought to be paid for reading them.

I occasionally, mistakenly buy an MCN when my guard goes down but it is always dissapointing. The headlines are rediculous and the stories are so far fetched and dramatic they often look like a school creative writing competition after taking some children around a pit lane at a bike track.

The best bike mag ever was Road Rocket. It was so funny it could have been written by Vic Reeves. Unfortunately it went bust after only about 6 months. I understand one of the major magazine distributors was such a late payer that their cash flow dried up.

It could be worse.....it could be that horrid Superbike magazine where bimbos get their kit off (which of course is crucial to explaining the technical features of a bike)......spare me please...

All bike mags are crap IMHO, not worth the £2-5 that the command.

I'm pleased they changed the editor - the last one was way too obsessed with BMW's and touring to keep it working - stopped my subs because it had become so dull... will have a crafty look in the local magazine library (AKA WHSmiths) later today.
