Default Portsmouths Awful Roads

I've been complaining to Portsmouth City Council about the state of the round-about in Cosham. I remember it well when you could easily get round it with the bike right over at a lovely speed, all smooth and bump free (its national on it). Now its just full of cracks ruts and pot holes, one so large that I can't avoid it. I started complaining to the council last year and from what I can see all that been done is the following:
Road Markings repainted, some into the pot holes.
2 sets of pot holes patched in a temporary maner, (2 weeks later they are worse then before).

They keep telling me that the fault has been passed to there contractor though I never hear a things. I've since sent them another mail, and if that don't get a response soon I'm going to try to take it further but not sure where. Was thinking about RiDE or something, any other ideas?
Council ref. 122322 & 136183

This is one of the set of pot holes that was patched.

And this is the set of pot holes that where patch are right across the entrance of the junction that joins from the A27, if your in the right lane then there is no where to go to avoid the hole. The car image shows you it huge size, over 2 car lenght's.

Map of junction.

have you spoken to someone like MAG as they do a lot of campaigning and may already have something in the pipeline for this.. if you wanted a group to do a protest ride etc let us know I'm sure we could get some numbers together (any excuse for a ride out!)

Why not write to the traffic management dept (police) and ask for any RTI figures they have relating to that roundabout?

If there are related motorcycle accidents, it might add weight to your cause.

??

not sure if it will help but an idea.

Sounds like a good idea... would you happen to have a contact? though a e-mail would be best.
I was thinking of trying information@hampshire.pnn.police.uk

Um, i will go speak to some of the traffic management boys, as long as u dont mind waiting (am off for a week with my son)

Or, if you cant wait, you could call the 0845 045 4545 number and ask to be put through to someone.

Hi Dan

The roundabout at the junction of the Hulbert Road with the A3M is also lethal in the wet. There is so much tar ovebanding on it you cant avoid it in the wet.

How about a mass demonstration about the state of the roads. That could be fun! Good excuse for a ride out!

Kind regards
Tim
