Things i've found from my first party:

Tin foil doesn't like being cut.
Food takes a lot longer to prepare than first thought.
How do you tell people at 4.30am, ok boys and girls, im fooked, i need sleep, bugger off
Putting plastic down on a light carpet can save it.
Cleaning up doesn't take as long as i thought.

Ive got a warming party coming up as i finally let out my spare room to a mate of mine and hes moving in tomorrow.

Thing is, all my furtniture is cheap and tacky (rather spend money on other things...) but hes brining a load of stuff from his flat.. so we're gettin rid of mine, and using his.. its loads better. So when iget back from work tomorrow the house is going to be a pile of boxes and furniture.... ARRGGHHH!!!!

Then we get it sorted and its gonna be great! Lived on my own for 5 months now, and tbh it was kinda getting boring - the nights when you couldnt be jacked to go out, but didnt want to sit in on your own etc..

So that means a housewarming party! Only trouble is.. with all our friends, theres gonna be hundreds of them! The pub where we both drink.. between us, we know pretty much the entire gay community of york... so its going to be crazy crazy!

Dude, come on, i've never met anyone on here, and theres not one person who attended that i haven't known for at least 6 years.

Takes a lot for me to call someone a "friend" otherwise, their just aquaintences. Adapt the same attitude with those peopel at work.

Hell, i didn't even invite ANY family.....

Kneedown, just hide all kitchen stuff for fear of it going flying or being knocked over.... And plastic to cover the carpet can work wonders, without a doubt saved me a lot of money... The hardest part was the cooking and the wall decoration.

I invited people off the forum to my party last october that i hadn't already met (Jabba, Nutkins)

I take longer to choose my friends wisley.

Maybe when i've done some meets and get to know people, but not till that point..
