Hello! First off let me say that I know the only way to turely get a feel for what is best for me is trial and error, however all I want is a decent starting base! I am around 6'2" and 70kg, obviously a bit heavier with my gear! What is a good base setting for my fork pre-load and shock pre-load? Thanks!

I'm a bit heavier, but After fiddling for ages I settled on one up at the back, and preload screwed in to the last ring showing just. The front is still too soft, but anymore and its not balanced with the back and feels like the pantomime horse, the front all nervous and skittish, the back tired and sluggish.

I've set both forks and shock to max preload and had a little ride. Much better! It feels more stable and I feel safter to corner abit faster and leaning abit more.

I'm 15 stone & maxed out front preload ( helped but still need springs & 15W oil) & added 1 to rear preload.
Handes ok the limiting factor is the OEM dunlops , however have got to within 1 mm of rear tyres Cheers Steve
