Default End of an era

In the new TWO mag...the budget shootout test.

Z750 v Hornet v Fazer v GSR600...No SV.

Oh dear...The Z won coz of it's big engine and the Suzuki was top 600.

The SV is no longer front line it seems. Clerical and light duties only.

End of the V-twin era?

Oh dear. Pretty soon we'll all have beards (even ladies... it will be forum rules) and sit in pubs telling the youngsters, "When I was your age, V-twins were all the rage"

Thinking about it, I think TWO did an ER6 vs SV a couple of months back. And lets be honest, the naked sells about 1/10 as many bikes as the S, and the S always gets into the tests that aren't specifically naked. It doesn't really compete, even the SV lovers don't love it that much.

PS ya boo naked owners. Get a fairing, hippies!

Don't know what the prices are for the GSR. But it ain't covered by Suzuki latest offer.

New bike so I don't think much on discounts. The SV still undercuts it by a Grand plus the ride for a pound scheme.

I think the SV will sell on price over the GSR...but the GSR seems to have taken the SV's middleweight contender crown.

If you read the test on the Cagiva Raptor in the same issue, I'm sure it describes the SV as the naked middleweight benchmark or something
