Default Sunday 28th May **ABORT!! ABORT!! SEE NEW THREAD**

This is the May holiday weekend------------There is a track day at Snetterton[£99]
and for those not interested [Cuppa and a roll at Snet] I would consider continuing on to Muckelburgh to the Tank Museum [£5:50]

Route=A131--A134--A143--B1111--Snetterton for 10:00am if no trackdayers
B1111--A1075--B1110--A148 Sheringham [Museum 12:00-16:00]

This journey took me about 2 1/2hrs in the cage coming home last week on the main routes so I would expect it to be about that going the scenic way on a bike, therefore it means leaving at 8ish from Chelmsford

For a fast ride home A148--A10--A14--M11--A120--A130--Chelmsford,estimate 2hrs

---------------POST UP IF YOU ARE DEF GOING-------------

You have the following day off as it is a holiday, for ur R's to recover if necessary

I'm up for the trackday!

You just need to carify some things for me!

1st: Do I need 1 pce leathers or are my 2 pce ones ok?

2nd: My helmet doesn't have the race tested sticker on it - is it still allowed ?

3rd: Is there a db limit on cans

4th: I need knee sliders but don't have velcro on my leather trousers.

1. 2 piece are OK if they zip together (at least 180 degrees)

2. Has to have the ACU or BMS approved (sticker on the back) but not seen them ever check a lid - what make is it?

3. 105 with Focused Events @ Snetterton- you'll be fine

4. I doubt you'll be wearing sliders then - don't stick them on or if you get your knees down they'll fly off.

Focused Events are running that track day - web address is http://www.focusedevents.com/ - they'll confirm your leathers and slider situation when you book

Well this sucks.

I have a BMW Sportintegral. It hasn't got the ACU Sticker.

This Helmet is the Nuts

With the knee slider thing....

2 options

I can either try these self adhesive velco pads or I'll have to buy new trousers...

If its road legal then it should have BSM sticker or EU equivalent - its ACU or BSM. Give Focused a call and tell them the lid and they'll confirm.

New trousers may be a good idea although you may want to save them for after the track day (it's not scary really m8!)

EDIT - just checked on a website and your lid should have Certification: ECE 22.05 somewhere on it so it should be OK!

As it looks like some of our number are serious about doing the trackday the itinary will be somewhat changed as you have to be at the track at 8:30 for the briefing

--LEAVE BOREHAM 7:00AM -A130-A120-M11-A11-SNETTERTON--[quickish]

See what the day brings after arriving at Snetterton, can either spectate and relax but leave early and ride home the scenic route or go for a little ride out local and return to Snetterton

Anybody interested hold their hands up please and we will try to accommodate the needs of the mass

[ I will leave the tank museum for another day]

Just received your message Mac.

About it being changed to mallory park.

This is too much hassle. riding there, then be on the track all day.

I'll just do a Brands Hatch next time there's one coming up.

Sorry about that Patric but they were having difficulties getting the numbers booked at the class they wanted ------Still the best laid plans of mice and men go to "wrack an ruin" again.--------------I will see what I can do about the tank museum as an alternative and just make it a nice rideout with a bit of interest
