Default Anyone made a SV naked from a SV-S

I am playing with the idea of making a naked from my SV 650 S - K3.
Anyone done this yet??
I was thinking of putting a touring kit on the forks instead of the clipons and a GSX-R headlight. But what about the speedo unit? I don't think I can keep my original of my S-version.

Any ideas or pictures?

Been thinking along those lines myself, but it might just be easier to sell the S and buy a naked instead, having taken into account the cost of the work involved.

A new headlight from the GSX-R is around 140€ as seen on Ebay. But I am sure you could go cheaper with a second handed.
The handelbar touring kit is about 260€ on Ebay.
With the speedo unit I do not really know.

Wow, the piccie of the sv with the gsxr headlight is awesome. The mods are realistic but i am really liking it. I think the speedo on the faired and unfaired are the same unit just that the fairing is built around it.

Any one know where i can get some more piccies of the gsxr headlight conversion from as im seriously thinking of ditching my curvy faired for a naked pointy and swapping the headlight.

Thanks

Steve

You'll also need a new clutch cable switch gear cables and throttle cables. The S cables are all shorter as they do not have as far to travel to the handlebars.

Oh and you'll also need either a new top yoke for a naked or drill through the yoke for the handlebar risers.

The man ,,Big Ape'' is right. You will need new cables and a new top yoke. A project of money seems to me. But with the conversion you can also sell the bits of the fairing.

If you already have a naked and you want a GSX-R headlight you could better do it yourself. It only needs new brackets and a minor adjustement to fit the headlight cables.

good opportunity to add some bling,

although this is for a Triumph the gold yoke is off a daytona (drilled with risers) and the silver the original from a speedtriple.

from this

to this

Cheers Mark.

I'm converting my Curvy... to a N. When the cash turns up... but then I've gone on about it enough I expect everyone already knows that.

At the moment I have the Rental bars, yokes, and Rad cover. Just need to get the logger clutch, switches, throttle and brake lines, might get away with the ones I have as they are rather long after market ones.
