Default Got 'Horn' Problems!

me again,

despite what you might think, having posted my third message in as many minutes i do try and look after my bike.!!!!

It seems i've got an intermittant fault with my Sv's horn. When it gets warm (engine and weather) the horn will stop working. Not sure why this is. It also happens quite a lot when i'm carrying a pillion passenger!

any clues anyone?
should i just replace it?

I get the same problem..... is it a pointy you've got by any chance. My K5 does that. It seems to be the heat build up from the radiator. Moving the horn might help us, but replacing it with a pair of hi-lo "Fiamm" snail-shaped horns would be as much work and lots more rewarding. The factory horn is pathetic anyway.

Cheers,

Garry

Sorry, Have you tried keeping the bike in a fridge?

So it only happens when the bike gets warm? Is the battery loosing charge? could be a short on the horn circuit, or a dodgy connection (old physics - when sommat metal gets warmer it'll increase in size)

thanks guys,

Yeah its a K4 pointy. I think i might just bend the blasted bracket a bit and see if i can't get it away from the radiator slightly.
