Default Removing plastice peice that holds plate

Hey all I just got a 04 sv650s yesterday and I love it. One of the first things I would like to do however is take off that bulky peice that hold on the plates (like the silver one on the main page) How would I go about doing this and also retaining turn signals of some sort.

I found this job to be a real pain. On the face of it seemed very simple. "Just 4 bolt's - can't be more than a 30min job". About 3 hours later I had it fitted.

You have to pretty much take the whole rear end apart just to get to the bolts that hold the mud guard on. Then bolt on 2 mounting plates and reassemble the rear end. Then it is only 4 bolts.....

Aint that much of a job! I've got an EVOTECH tail tidy, all instructions supplied, lovely bit of kit!
You do have to remove the rear body-work,sounds daunting, not that hard if you can tell the difference between a spanner and your elbow!
