GirlsBike2 - London
Following on from the Rob B-S thread.......
I'm planning to open the North London GirlsBike2 store in mid July. I'm in negotiations for a premises in Highgate (Archway Road), but these legal matters run soooooo slowly. The plan is for all the new stores (North London, Poole, Dorking and Aberdeen) as well as the two existing stores (Hitchin and Brackley) to have a national open day (well, weekend) with discounts and offers and prizes, and maybe the odd celeb (if we can get em!). The Brackley store (which opened a couple of weeks ago) got a MotoGP race bike loaned for the day as a 'crowd-puller'. It did the trick, be we were terrified of dropping it when wheeling it back into the shop (the thing had a non-existant turning circle and is worth an obscene amount of money)  So I hope some of you will pop along to my opening for a free glass of bubbly and chocs (although buying something will make you very popular indeed!). And once I'm up and running, feel free to pop buy if you're in that part of town and fancy a cuppa and a chat. Jo P.s. I'm guessing your a bike shop that sells gear for girls? Could have done with that when looking for my fiances stuff last year. Ended up going to J&S in crawley because they had a decent selection of sizes.

mmm, open day sounds good - can you fix it for me to win something please?? doesn't have to be the GP bike, although that would be nice

Oooo, do keep us posted. Mrs Spidey has to buy some gear for the annual rideout and is having a hard time findind stuff she likes.
And she works in Hampstead so youre not a million miles away. Look forward to seeing the new shop. Oh and i'd like to win a Rossi rep if thats do-able. I'll even but something if i have to Good luck with it all.

Ok.....I'm sure I wasn't quite this misleading, but the prizes will definitely not include very expensive motorbikes (unless I can wangle one for free, which of course I will try).
 There'll will be non-alcoholic drinks available on the opening day (as well as the booze), and yes, there's free 1 hour parking outside from 10am-4pm and all day Sunday (there's also plenty of parking space in the surrounding streets....and of course, that old favourite...the pavement). And, as regards having a good selection of sizes, I'll be stocking sizes 6-26 (upto to 28 in jackets). By the way, are any of you folks decorators? I'm in the process of trying to get quotes for the refit of the shop, but struggling to get recommendations! Jo |

Jo,
Will try to make the opening. As a matter of interest were you on the stand at Detling last year? If so, what was the full face lid that you had (just the one), pink with other colours? Ta. I would really like a 'nice' lid to compliment the bike
