Paint code should be in the service record book if you have it, mine says my black K5 is YAY. A Suzuki dealer could help as well.

Painting helmets? I think that might need to be professionally done just for peace of mind to make sure the paint doesn't contain any chemicals that weaken the shell. I heard Rich-Art Concepts can paint any design you want onto a helmet.

The bike is a darker red for that year, I did not see any information in the clymer manual for paint. On my ST1300 it has a sticker under seat listing paint code.

Sorry the previous link didnt work

Looks like 19A is the paint code. Remember that its a 3 coat. Silver under coat, translucent colour, then clear coat. HTH

Your paint code is on a sticker under the tank.

IIRC, on the bottom line, the three characters are the paint code. You can check that code against those on the main site here, (there is a downloadable manual), with all the paint codes and the colour names near the start of the doc.
