sods law

bike wass off the road for about 2 weeks while i was spraying it, also ordered some new pars and got round to fitting those. for about a week there has been really nice riding weather and i havnt been able to enjoy it. then, finish assemblying the bike a couple of days ago, took it out for a good ride, then....off the road for another couple of days when i find out that the centrilisng spring in the gear mechanism is buggered.
i really want to get out and ride, but alas, have to wait until cresent is open on monday to actualy be able to order the part, and then, wait for delivery a couple of days then get round to fitting it.
anyone got any decent ideas of stuff to do during the mean time??
