Do I detect in that comment that perhaps group ride protocol was oft ignored? Tut, tut.

The protocol used was something like "keep up or fall behind".

Jelster...Easy for the rider of a Fireblade and a Triumph Triple to say. But when considering the majority of the group were riding SV's, not really in the spirit of the occasion if you don't mind me saying?

It actually worked well, no-one was under any pressure to keep up with the fast boys we all just went at our own pace and met up at the next stop. It made it enjoyable for the big boys cos they got to do there thing and us small fry enjoyed it cos we did what we were comfortable with. No point in big bikes going slow just cos we can't all keep up it would have spoiled it for them.

Pedro - it was the ones at the front that got lost most often

I spent the first few sessions up front (until the rear tyre went off), and then dropped towards the rear for the rest of the day.

Amarko5 and Taran were a normally way in front of us and most of the time out of sight! - those of us that are normally fairly' quick' just couldn't get near them on the more technical sections.

I don't think anyone had any issues at all with the pace. Everyone was told to ride at their own speed, and those out in front stopped regularly to let everyone else catch up. This meant that everyone could enjoy the ride without worrying about the them being too fast/slow - it also meant that Mark could stop for loads of fag breaks

You missed out on a great weekend.

Matt...It certainly does appear that I missed out big time. Glad you enjoyed despite the tyre problems.
