Default Johnny Cash Website

For fans of the Man in Black.

www.johnnycash.com

The site plays random selection of songs at a pretty reasonable quality too.

Well thanks for making me miss the first half of the Italy vs Ukraine match! That's a great site. The videos and interviews are well worth watching. Unlike the film, so I've been told!

And trust Quiff to lower the tone of the whole thread right from the off

Slim Whitman is a pussy compared with what Johnny Boy was!

His two best tracks for me are "Boy named Sue" and the sad tale of "Drunken Ira Hayes" Superb songs.

'A Boy Named Sue' was his first song I ever heard. But my favourites are 'Streets of Laredo', 'Don't Take Your Guns To Town' and 'Ghost Riders In The Sky'. The man's a legend

It was bound to happen some time, UlsterSV is dead right about something

Yeah. Johnny Cash ruled.
I first head him in my old mans garage, he was making a chest of drawers or something. I was helping, in the way only a 8 year old can. Gathering up the long twisty wood shavings. My old man had this ancient reel to reel player, that you would load a spool of tape onto. It said TEAC on it, all in capitals. And had massive silver buttons.

He had the At Folsom Prison album, and it starts with all cheering, and then you hear, "Hello, I'm Johhny Cash." And that was it, that was enough for me. I was a fan. I also thought that my dad had somehow recorded it himself, because I had never heard a live album. And I was wondering how he was in an American prison. I decided his friend must have been there.

We had to present our favorite band in school when we were 14, play a song and explain why we liked them. Evreyone was doing Stone Roses, or The Cure, Siouxie and the Banshees. I pulled out my cassette, stuck on Cocaine Blues.

....And had the unmerciful ****e slagged out of me for about the next 6 years. I regreted that choice big time, till I was old enough to realise I was cool after all.

Oh dear Phil. We're in danger of agreeing on something. The Folsom Prison album is quality. Cocaine Blues is the best track too.

Good website.

I'm a huge fan of 'Hurt' which ranks as one of the best music videos I've ever seen.
