Default Loosing tyre pressure on almost new tyres...

I'm loosing about 1 - 2 PSI overnight. Both Front and rear.

The tyres have been fitted a month ago.
I checked them yesterday and no visible punctures.

Any Ideas ?

Check the valves are in tight.
Failing that take it back to the tyre place.

Edit - Just a thought , your not checking them hot and then cold are you ?

no i'm not.

Always check them when cold.

I did the "spit test" on the valves - no leak...

Tyres do tend to lose a bit of pressure after a fitment but by now it should be ok. Take them back to the fitter.

Are you using cheap air? I only use race air. It's lighter.

Got this advice on a visit to a Tyre factory a forthnight ago.

Spray tap water all round the rims to check there, check the seal between the valve/wheel and check the valve. If is the valve it could be just a little grit, release some air (not all as this may break the rim seal) from the tyre, it may blow it clean, failing all that go back to fitter. Make sure you always use a good quality valve cap.

Sounds like it could be a temp thing. If I leave my bike on the drive for half an hour or an hour at mid day whilst washing it then set the pressures afterwards, I can guarantee when I go out the next morning and check them in the garage it would have lost 3psi!

If I set the tyres in the garage on the morning before getting it out then riding home from work at 4pm on a hot day things get very scary as its 3psi over.

not sure how much diffence it makes but the ambiant temperature is all over the place at the moment. Afternnon and morning temperatures will probably be quite a few degrees out, might be enough to throw it?

Edit: Plus every time you measure the pressures you let a little out
