Default Conti RA tyre pressures?

I was running my tyres at standard Suzuki pressures, but am sure I saw a post somewhere saying they had more air in the front tyre? Something like 36psi? Just wondered what pressures people ran?

My front tyre is wearing a little oddly, wondering whether it's down to tyre pressures?

I run my RAs at 35/38 but everyone seems to prefer their own slight variations, so try altering the pressures two PSI at a time and see what you like best. Running the front at 33 (Suzuki standard) certainly won't cause a wear problem.

Didn't see it as a problem, but it's just wearing strangely. Almost squaring off as it were, so I thought increased pressure would help as the back tyre is still lovely and round.

When you say wearing oddly - how do you mean? On one side, in the middle more (pressure could be too high), at the edges more (pressure could be too low)??

Does it affect the handling?

It's kind of squared off, the profile seems to suggest that there isn't enough air in the tyre. It's difficult to describe, and haven't got any pictures.

At times it does feel like the front tyre is squelching a bit (if that makes sense). Possibly too much flex in it, so was wondering whether anyone else thought the same and whether they ran higher pressures.

Continental reccomend 36 front, 42 rear for the RA on SV650.

I inflated my front tyre to about 34.5psi which seems a lot better. Steering feels more precise to me.

It's all a personal preference thing though.

It also depends just how accurate your pressure gauge is, it could easily be a couple of psi out so you'll see different numbers to other folk.

Do as jonboy suggests and try altering 2psi at a time until you're happy, then make a note of which gauge you're using!
