just buying the bike, info please - SV650.org

Hi, my mate (no pc) is buying one of these bikes and he would like to know any info about it, ie:
House power, top speed, handling problems, mpg etc.

Anything he should know about what usualy goes and what to look out for would be appriciated.

use the search, All of the above have been covered, but in short:
Horse power ~69BHP ish (IIRC)
Top speed 125 - 135mph ish
handling problems usually pilot related rather than bike though some people like to stiffen the front forks up a little with stiffer springs.
Not many major issues to look out for, it's generally a solid bike...

Fuel economy = 40-55MPG the latter being on Shell Power 100ron

As Jambo said, front end is a bit squishy, tankslappers are possible on bumpy roads........at least in my experience.
