Default saw a really nice modded car today

not sure what it was, looked and sounded like something from the fast and the furious,

looked over at the dash and saw an array of different dials, i had never seen anything like it.

while i was admiring the guys car, the lights went green and he shot off. pedal straight to the floor.

i caught him up at the next set of traffic lights, the guy stared at me and started revving his pride and joy,

then . . . .something strange came over me, i looked him in the eye and did the same.

lights go green, and i leave him in my wake

next traffic lights,

same thing happens,

3rd set of traffic lights, he decides he is going to out brake me, he waits til the last second before slamming on his anchors.

lights go green, i do the same again, followed my an impressive outbraking him.

then he stalls it coming to a stop.
looking rather embarrased, he decides to do a u-turn, rather than following me down the road to the twistes.

am i a bad person

not really, just surprised you rose to the bait. there's very few cars on the road that will out accelerate a bike, which is pretty much the reason i don't think i've ever dragged with a car. had a play with a couple of bikes but then we're on a level playing field so to speak.

i know, i dont normally bother, but this was a very nice car, and the guy was oviously over confident.

Trick is to rev rev rev rev, then let them shoot off, and calmy pull away.

When you get to the next light, take th micky, maaan your car is SO fast, it left my bike behined. I think im gonna sell it and get me one of these 1.1 saxos.

You da boy

Watch his mates completly rip into him.

My other half had it in her VXR the other day, chav'd clio 1.2, two boyracers, revving their engine next to her, she turned and just burst out laughing (bear in mind we own modified cars)...

The passanger burst out laughing, the driver went bright red...

My dad used to have one of the unexpectedly rapid executive-model Cavaliers... How he loved to make boy racers look daft. He was quite cunning though, he'd make sure he didn't accidentally race an RS2000 or a hot GTi, just the wee rubbish ones

My favourite though, was a wee Saxo or somesuch that decided he wanted a race. I just rode normally, while he was wheelspinning off the lights... Overtook him after a moment, carried on, stopped at a set of roadworks up the road. He pulls up and shouts "That was fast mate, but I nearly had you!" "Sorry, were we racing?"

I don't see the problem with having a bit of fun with cars, though like Northy, I've found myself winning races a few times without even noticing.
