need help choosing a tyre

ill need a new rear in about a month, im still using the standard tyres that came with the bike,
now ive read alot of good things about the road attacks, havent really heard much about the sport attacks,
and i here also good things about the z6's

now i need a tyre that will last about 5000 miles ish as i dont do much more than that in a year, needs to grip well, and be alright in the wet (i dont ride to much in the wet but just incase)

so if anyopne can give me some input on the tyres above id appreciate it, i have done a couple of saerches but there is a few unanswered questions in my head

okies, i have rode on the Road attacks and Z'6's and i prefer the Z'6s for grip and feel etc. At one point i rode my bike and the girlfirends bike back to back, mine with the RA's and hers with the Z6's and the difference was noticable.

However, everyones opinion is different, and how they percive tyres, so whats one mans meat is anothers poision.

I got about 6000 miles out of the rear which is about average, and nothing special. My normal ridi is commuting through town, so lots of on/off throttle and not gently, but no stunts, or burnouts.

They're both equally good tyres, though it appears from the feedback we've had over the past year or so that Z6s seem to be a little more stable as regards turn in, but the RAs perhaps offer very slightly more feel and grip.

I don't think you'd go wrong with either, but the Z6s seem to offer more mileage as another plus.

There are so many discussions on this that you'd be hard put to read them all. Just make a decision either way, it really won't make any difference as the tyres are both good.

well im 18 ibe ridden a 50cc a 125cc and now on the sv, still getting used to the cross over between 2 and 4 stroke, havent got bags of confidence on the sv yet so which of the tyres would you reccon would be good for a novice as i guess the road attacks are like non stanard so maybe hard for a novice rider?

I have Z6's on my SV and i find them very confidence inspiring. Unfortunatly i haven't ridden the RA's so i can't compare the two, but what put me off the RA's is the fact some comments were made that they turn in quite fast and i felt this wasn't what i wanted from a tyre.
Since having the Z6's, about 4000 miles now, they have never once let me down or caused me to have a moment of panic. they warm up very quickly and retain that heat. I even find that in the rain they are brilliant. When it does rain Fizz likes to follow me because he says they clear a hell of alot of water and he usually rides in the tyre marks i leave on the road. His GSXR puts a bit to much power through the back wheel and can be a bit flighty in the wet

At the end of the day the decision is yours. If you find you don't like the ones you choose i'm sure there would be a willing buyer on the site who would take either set of your hands, and you could try some thing else.

just finished a set of qualifiers off, 4000 miles both front and rear tyres dead, really rate them, warmed up quickly and never stepped out of line
