Default Mirror Spacers For SV650 Curvey

Mirror Spacers For SV650 Curvey

Ok I keep getting asked to make them for the original sv650 but unless I get a first batch of say 50 orders I will be doing them with no margins at all. Tool set up time cost of jigs etc. I can get them done Easley if someone has a copy of the old ones that used to be made by someone else. Not sure who it was? But if I had a template plus the fasteners, as I believe your mirrors have studs on the inside so you will need extenders fitted on the inside of the fairing, then I could get this one off the ground at a slightly smaller price than the ones I do now for the new SV as there is slightly less machine time on these from what I can see.

So if anybody can send me one of there old ones to make a start I will pay what you want or we can come to some kind of arrangement then I will be able to help fellow SV owners with this problem.

The company that did them was called GenMar who did "Mirror Extenders", though I've not see anyone over here with them as they are a american company.

thought it would need just longer bolts! - use the same threaded units from the other side and just a thicker piece of rubber same shape as original

but wot do I know !!??

Just got mine in the post. I shall be fitting them on Sunday. Ta for the very rapid dispatch/delivery, did you drop 'em off by hand or something?

Sigourneysbeaver, I doubt you could add on more than a few mm that way... They'd be flappier too.

Fitted mine yesterday. Very well made, close fit and discreet looks. Works just as described, a lot less 'arm in the mirrors', for only a little more mirror width. Good product, I'd definately recommend it to others.
