I am trying to get my wifes MP3 player working
Its 1GB. Using my computer with USB link it is seen as the F Drive and I have loaded 250 MB of music on it. As an F Drive it plays through the computer just fine. The MP3 players own display also shows 250MB of storage is used so far, but when I go to the music display and press PLAY it says "no files" What am I doing wrong? |

Look at the manual and see if they need to be stored in a particular place ie in a folder called Music, with no more than 2 levels of subfolders. I am guessing you just put the files onto it in the top level and so the MP3 player doesn't have a clue where to look for playable files. Most of these MP3 players are used as datastorage too - which is why they usually specify a file structure David

maybe you put the mp3 files into the wrong folder on the mp3 play?
or maybe the mp3 player needs tro format itself before installing mp3 files onto it.

Just plugged the MP3 player in and it popped up on the PC as an F drive. I then dragged and dropped the music from my C drive. Seemed so simple, but will have another look through the book.

Well nothing in the book about different folders!
The MP3 player opens on the PC as F: Drive. It has no structure (sub folders) as far as I can see. ![]() |

The files I am downloading are WMA files. The player should play MP1, MP2, MP3, WMA, WMV, ASF, WAV etc. The wife did load some music about 6 months ago, but she cant remember how, and cant do it again now! ![]() |

Heres another clue:
The music it downloaded from my laptop was a free demo wma file that came with the PC. I just burned a CD (in WMA) onto the laptop. It did copy onto the MP3 player but the files aren't seen by the MP3 player and wont play. Off on holiday tonight - looks like we will be without music ![]() |
