Hard Luggage...... Advice please - SV650.org

Day to day I think I am going to need/want a topbox, seriously considering the suzuki "rear seat replacement" one.

However I CAN see in the future, as I get the experience/confidence to have a Pillion, me moving to another top-box.

I also think that I will want side boxes, only for VERY occasional use, but a few times a year.

Want hard luggage rather than soft for watertightness.

So folks, any recommedations?

Didnt have myself, but GIVI is very popular

Hmmm...pic didnt work..

I think the OEM Strom luggage is GIVI (not certain)..

For occasional use tho perhaps soft is better, as youve the fiddle of fitting that frame. I think Ortlieb may do some waterproof soft motorcycle luggage.

Have a look at the alu-tech stuff by sw-motech. It blends into the bike alot better and can take various different boxes, depending on what adapters you buy.

Took about an hour. Most fiddly bit was taking the seatcowl off and getting it back on. BUT - I think you will find with GIVI you can have either a top box or panniers, not both as they require different fitting kits.

BTW it looks naff with the box on as it sits very high so if style is on your list of priorities it may be better to look elsewhere!
