Default Yay knee down..... er oops.

Well, at my favourite corner the other day I graced the road with the presence of my knee for the first time which was quite an exhilorating experience, and I'm sure it added some length to a certain appendage...

But shortly after having done so, I then realised er oops I'm kinda wearing textile gear and this gear doesn't have knee sliders attached

So I did a wee bit of damage to the knee area of my trousers (least I didn't do damage to the rear area of my undies though!!! )

I'm thinking best way is to get some of those self-adhesive velcro pad thingys from motrax or the like so i can cover up this scrape then add some sliders for future incidents. You live and you learn eh?

Yup, wasn't entirely intending on dropping knee at that point as I was on the way home from work ladened up with a tank bag, the break in the clouds and the dry roads made me do it!!

Sweet,

Now you've got to get the other one down to keep your trousers even.

Hehehe. Don't worry I've done this a few times forgetting that I am wearing waterproofs. I tried those velcro pads and to be honest they sucked. As my textile trousers are quite loose the pads just move and you still get holes in your trousers. Plus if you plan on doing knee down action you should be wearing leathers, trust me on that one.

Got leathers anyway which are knee-slidered up so no probs on that front, just wanted something to cover up the scratched bit.

Gaffa tape. Comes in different colours. It'll not last long but it's cheap to cheap replacing it

I used to street luge and regularly used Duct tape to cover up the holes in my leathers (mailny on the elbows where they used to drag along the road), gloves and boots, works very well and a couple of layers can take a fair hammering. Although having all the fingers of your gloves taped together makes it slightly less flexible...

Nice one I just scuffed the knee of my old Belstaff cordura trousers one day and realised just at that moment that they'd no sliders, pulled my knee up and just about fell off
